                                                 From Nippers to Surf Lifesavers                    

Surf lifesavers is important in Australia. As the junior 'Nippers' program grows in popularity, children are developing skills and growing up to become certified lifesavers who patrol Australian beaches.

There are 52,000 nippers in Australia who participate in board paddling, surfing, swimming,running, wading and other surf life saving activities.

children from 5 years old to 14 years old are able to join nipper programs at their local beach.

On weekends, coastal areas covered with beach lovers and thousands of young people jumping in the waves, practicing important for water skills.Even if there are rain,hail or shine.

The children's parents are legally required to be present and supervisors ,many are also volunteer,some of them as committee members ,age manager ,carnival officials, and judges as well as setting up and packing away equipment.
